Artist Bio
The Howard Brothers are a harmony driven duo made up of identical twins, Jason and Jonah Howard. They blend the intimacy of folk songwriting with jazz and orchestral adventures into musicianship. Sweet bow melodies and the rhythmic actuation of Jason's upright bass speak with Jonah's meandering acoustic guitar to find something new together in every note. Their songwriting travels wide to the unexpected places.
The Howard Brothers too find themselves venturing beyond the known to play across the United States, Canada, and Mexico thus far. Marking the miles in their trusty live-aboard van, they have performed in festivals like Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, listening rooms and little theaters, and have never failed to find a wild camp, mountain bike ride, or foraging side quest along the way. They bring an adventure to every show, and are excited to find their greatest adventure yet in their newest album, coming soon.

Out On My Own
Released under the former band name “Cross-Eyed Possum” in 2023, “Out On My Own” is a culmination of songs written by the brothers from their time in music school. The writing and arranging is influenced from their studies in jazz harmony and classical expression alongside more extracurricular adventures in bluegrass, folk, and rock, and features the talented Keenan Hammack on Mandolin and a portion of the vocal harmonies. “Out On My Own” acts as a musical template, a jumping off point for the Album and EP currently both in the works by the brothers. Stay tuned for singles coming soon from these new projects.
